If the position does not require a college degree, you are required to have at least a high school diploma. Salary Min:$73,683.00 Salary Max: OCCUPATIONAL SUMMARY Supports Exceptional Student Education (ESE) programs districtwide. Evaluates and facilitates meaningful involvement of individuals, businesses, and organizations from the community, as they participate in programs sponsored by Miami-Dade County Public Schools (M-DCPS). Works cooperatively with personnel in multiple District offices and supports all aspects of the ESE programs and services as directed. Regularly monitors, reviews, and evaluates Exceptional Student Education (ESE) programs and supporting services. EXAMPLE OF DUTIES 1. Monitors district’s adherence to Federal, State and School Board policies and rules that impact ESE programs, services, and student progress monitoring. 2. Coordinates, scheduling, and implementation of professional development for staff to improve skills in ESE program areas, supplementary curriculum resources and progress monitoring of students. 3. Supports Exceptional Student Education programs targeting exceptionality categories and learning environments. 4. Coordinates the review of ESE programs and follow-up technical assistance provided to school teams. 5. Monitors cooperative agreements and contracts between the district and outside agencies for Exceptional Student Education. Per Performs other duties related to general administrative responsibilities of the position, as directed. PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS This work requires the following physical activities: sitting, mobility, lifting, finger dexterity, grasping, repetitive motions, talking, hearing and visual acuity. The work is performed primarily indoors. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS 1. Master’s degree in education with certification in one or more areas. 2. In-depth knowledge of inclusive practices, including experience in the implementation of best practices. 3. Minimum of three (3) years teaching experience. 4.
